The Wonders of Wish Upon a StarIn Wish Upon a Star, each character in the game has a specific Wish that is associated with them. These include types of dreams, interactions with their siblings, and the wishes themselves. Each one of the characters also has a particular fate in their life.Destiny refers to the manner in which the individuals in the game are destined to react. As you play through the levels, your progress is tracked by the characters' Fate. If the Fate is not positive, then things like Dreams will become a cause for concern.If a character's Fate is negative, then they are bound to have a lot of bad dreams and negative experiences. This, in turn, will lead to increased negative karma and negative results. Another factor that will affect a character's Fate is their level of Education.Once a character's Fate is determined, the goal for that character changes. They can choose to move up in the Fortune or Faith. Their Character Advancement (CA) stage is also affected by the ir Fate. There are three different character advancement stages.These stages represent the character's previous career and experience. For example, the character that went from studying to working may find themselves facing two Fortune stages. Character Progress Stage is the third option which will see the character move up to the next level.Fate can also be influenced by the choices made by a character. They can gain Karma if they commit a crime and fail to escape punishment or they can lose karma if they are punished and escape. They will also have a chance to gain Karma if they are punished and free and choose to escape.Fate can also be influenced by the outcome of a character's present Fate. If a character who has hadan early life experience that led to a bad fortune is given a second chance at life, their chances of becoming a successful person will be increased. The same can be said for characters who are scorned by society, those who are ostracized from their friends and fami ly, and others.You can always earn more Fate by completing quests. Your party's wealth, notoriety, and character advancement are all related to your Karma level. Any changes to these areas will reflect on your current Fate.
